P&S Launches 125kW Rooftop Solar PV System at Pasyala, Marking a Major Step Towards Sustainability
Perera & Sons Bakers Private Limited (P&S), Sri Lanka’s largest quick service restaurant chain, has taken a significant step towards clean energy with the launch of a 125kW rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at its Pasyala production unit. This project marks a major milestone in the company's commitment to sustainable operations and environmental responsibility.
The 125kWp rooftop solar PV system, which was commissioned in May, in collaboration with Vislam Energy Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), is poised to generate 181,500kWh of clean energy annually. This translates to a substantial reduction of 127,050kg of CO2 emissions each year.
Established in 1902, P&S has grown to reach 210 outlets across Sri Lanka, delivering affordable, delicious and exciting meals, treats, and delights to customers. The company’s dedication to sustainability is well known, with P&S having conducted many initiatives addressing various social and environmental needs.

Inaugural President’s Trophy Waterpolo Tournament to Ignite Passion for Water Sports
The Presidents Trophy 2024 Organized by the National Youth Services Council in collaboration with Royal College Union Aquatic Club (RCUAC) and Youth Vision 2048 marks a significant milestone in the promotion and development of water polo in Sri Lanka.
